Milling Process — Code 1903.1.0017 | Vinahardware
Vinahardware’s Milling Process (1903.1.0017) provides high-precision CNC milling services for prototypes and mass production across industrial sectors. Our integrated capabilities include 3-, 4- and 5-axis milling centers, horizontal and vertical mills, high-speed spindles and automatic tool changers, enabling complex 3D contouring, pocketing, face milling, keyways, pockets, and precision holework. We routinely serve customers in automotive components, medical devices, industrial machinery, precision fixtures and architectural hardware.
Equipment & Capabilities
-
Multi-axis CNC milling centers (3/4/5 axis) for complex freeform surfaces and single-setup machining.
-
Horizontal mills for heavy-duty, high-volume parts that require stable cut and chip evacuation.
-
High-speed spindles and advanced tooling (end mills, ball-nose, face mills, indexable cutters) for optimal surface finish and cycle time.
-
Automated tool changers, pallet systems and fixtures for high repeatability and fast changeover.
-
Secondary operations: drilling, boring, tapping, reaming, and light turning (live-tool operations when required).
-
Comprehensive QC equipment: calipers, micrometers, surface roughness testers, and CMM for critical dimensions.
Materials
We machine a broad range of materials: aluminum alloys, stainless steels (SUS304/316), carbon steels, engineering plastics (POM, PTFE), brass and special alloys. Material selection guidance is available to optimize machinability, surface finish and production cost.
Process & Quality
-
Our CAM programmers generate optimized toolpaths to minimize cycle times while achieving required tolerances. Typical tolerances achievable are ±0.01–0.05 mm depending on geometry and material. Surface finish (Ra) can be controlled to meet customer specifications through appropriate tooling and finishing passes.
-
We perform initial sample runs for customer approval, followed by production runs with in-process inspection at defined intervals. Final inspection includes dimensional checks and surface condition verification. CMM reports and batch QC documentation are provided upon request.
Value-added Services
Vinahardware provides turnkey solutions: prototype machining, jigs & fixtures, post-processing (deburring, anodizing, powder coating, plating), assembly and packing for export. Our in-house finishing reduces lead time and logistics complexity for customers.
Lead times & Ordering
-
Prototype/sample: typically 2–7 working days.
-
Small-to-medium production runs: typically 5–21 working days depending on complexity and finishing requirements.
-
MOQ: flexible; tooling/setup fees may apply for specialized fixtures or high-precision demands.
